What are some good books for a 12 year old girl?

Hi peoples! Is there any book like teddy bears coming alive or something? lol I really like reading books and there's nothing to read these day.. so yeah. I like the books How I Survived Middle School, the series by Nancy Krulik. I've already read all of the Princess Diaries books. Please do not mention Twilight, I refuse to read any vampire books containing the word "Edward" in it..arg he's soo annoying. I like reading really girly books, you know the ones that you can just lie down in your bed and read cause there so good and funny? Oh and I read Does My Head Look Big In This? That was also a really good one. And I am obsessed with animals, but when I was younger in elementary school I used to read all of those books about a dog or something, so now there's no other books like that I can read. And like those few books about these frogs.. forgot what it was called. Geronimo Stilton, but these were all when I was younger lol. There for little kiddies =( So yeah I think I wrote enough lol thanks so much! What are some good books for a 12 year old girl?
Well if your not into the whole vampire thing, which was what I was about to suggest let me think..

At 12 years old I was really into reading the Fear Street books by R.L Stine and I actually still own them to this day. You may like these.

There is the babysitters club.. Sweet Valley Jr High books...

Are you there god it's me margret was a good book for me to..

A lot of times, the best way to find a book is by browsing the shelves in books a million or your local walmart, find something that speaks to you, pick it up, hold it.. read the back of it.. and if it gives you that excited feeling in your stomach that makes you think "Oh my god, I've got to get home and get my shoes off and read this RIGHT NOW!" Then you have found the book for you!

I wish you the best of luck, and there are millions of great books out there waiting to be read, I hope you find every single one of them!
Maybe the Candy Apple books by Robin Wasserman or the Dear Dumb Diary series by Jim Benton. The Internet Girls series by Lauren Myracle might also be good. Ask Me No Questions by Marina Budhos is also a good book- kind of like Does My Head Look Big In This?

I hope these work. Have fun reading. What are some good books for a 12 year old girl?

hmmm...

you said "girly" books. this leads me to believe that maybe you'd like books by cathy hopkins. i loved her books when i was 13. i suggest the "mates, dates..." series by her (the first book is "mates, dates, and inflatable bras") or the "truth or dare" series which is also by her (the first book is "white lies and bold faced truths")

you may also be interested in kit pearson. i quite enjoyed everything she's written.
Personally I've enjoyed these books. We appear to have similar interest

Haha. I totally agree about the edward thing.

Anyhow, you can try reading the following:

Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen

From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg

Superfudge by Judy Blume. [the fudge series is great!]

And in general, look for a book with a newbery medal on the cover.

They are most of the time enjoyable books, and surely interesting. :)
