Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies?

Such as those by that creep Sacha Baron Cohen? In his latest trashy and idiotic movie, Cohen engages in a truly disgusting and offensive portrayal of a gay person. In this disgusting movie, this slimebag repeatedly engages in seuxual harrassment of straight men.

How can this type of disgusting trash be popular with American film audiences? Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies?First of all, Sacha Baron Cohen is English not American, and his film Borat did quite well in other countries.

Secondly, he is making fun of the stereotypes, not reinforcing them. His films are intelligently conceived and they are are very satirical. He exposes how disgusting ignorance can be by portraying ignorant characters and interacting with real ignorant people. Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies?
Wow, can't wait to see that one....thanks for letting me know...making fun of stereotypes is what America does best...Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies? You do know that ALL countries have dumb people that like unfunny movies, right?
And you are comparing American film audiences to whom exactly? I hope not the English with their dry, arrogant humor. Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies? Can't wait to see this film thanks for the heads up and by the way Sacha Cohen is English not american and he is brilliant at playing Characters from Talledaga nights to Borat to Sweeney Todd, maybe your objection is your fear of homosexuality. Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies?
America likes mindless comedy because it isn't complicated, it's outrageous (so it keeps your interest going), and it's the epitome of the freedom of speech and expression that America claims to embody. This is the country that introduced the phenomenon that is Jackass, after all.
It's true, pop culture in America totally sucks. As far as "Why?" goes, I have no idea. People like ridiculous and stupid things I guess. Why are American film audiences so interested in going to watch unfunny "comedy" movies?
Hi. Let's put it this way. Why don't we just respect each other's culture? Wherever you came from your culture influences you. What do you expect from us, to be like you? We find it funny and you have nothing to do with it. If you don't enjoy what you're seeing just take your baseball bat and give your tv a good smash it deserve. I love Borat, Jackass, the one you mentioned, stuffs like that. What's that title again if you mind?
