Why are there no modern movies about The American Revolution?

Perhaps because it would inspire patriotism and give people "ideas" regarding the current administration. In socialism, you want the masses ignorant and pacified. Why are there no modern movies about The American Revolution? As far as mainstream movies go the only most recent one was The Patriot. However, it was made more for entertainment than for historical fact.

The most recent was John Adams. It is more a mini series but was AWESOME! So much so my wife bought the disc set for me. It really digs down into the political motives of our fore fathers and reasons given for fighting the British.

It isn't much into the action side of things although there is some. It really goes more into the thought processes of America's leaders back then.

I have to say though, not many socialist minded libs will like it. Much of it describes in great detail the fact that we were fighting against something then that is once again raising it's ugly head now.Why are there no modern movies about The American Revolution?
Today's audience still think that we're in Iraq because of 9/11, so they are far, far too stupid to want to see events depicted before...last week! In fact, there have been few films, other than documentaries about this crucial event in mankind's development. I was SO encouraged when HBO's series "John Adams" won critical acclaim, though few viewers.

The Patriot (2000)

Revolution (1985)

edit: Turbo, we can only pray that it comes, soon! I'm 55, and I doubt that I'll see it. The kids today? Too stupid and selfish. Why are there no modern movies about The American Revolution?Maybee because it wasn't really a very interesting event which make for good entertainment. Many important things aren't.Why are there no modern movies about The American Revolution?
