Filipinos understand perfectly american movies?yes, english is used here in the Philippines. American movies are big hits especially to younger generations. The language is also taught in schools.



Recently, many other nationalities come to the Philippines to study, the international students' population in my university increased. I had 3 classmates who are Koreans, one persian and one who is indian.

There are also many BPO (business process outsourcing) and call centers here, because there are a lot of fluent english speakers in the workforce.
