How do these movies represent the political process? "Wag the Dog" and "American President"?

The movie “Wag the Dog” presents a cynical view of elections and the media’s participation. “American President” presents a very idealistic point of view of the political process. How do they represent the political process? What are the public’s opinion of the government? What is view of the political process in the movie and what is your viewpoint? How do these movies represent the political process? "Wag the Dog" and "American President"?Wag the Dog seemed pretty accurate if you remember Clinton's impeachment.

Add: Actually Steven my reference was to starting a fake war to avoid getting in trouble. Clinton ATTEMPTED it when he found out he was going to be impeached. I'm not giving any other details, because like you I recognized the question for what it was.How do these movies represent the political process? PS: Don't even try to claim this in not homework. I haven't been out of school so long I don't recognize homework questions when you don't even TRY to disguise them.
