i need a popular american movie that has something to do with japan... it can't just be a couple of scenes in japan, it has to be based in or around something pretaining to the culture/people/common hobbies in japan...What are some american movies, shot in or about japan/japanese characters?"Lost In Translation" is a good story that filmed in Japan and captured it well.



For action, "Black Rain", shot in Japan, is good.



An interesting film featuring Japanese characters interested in OUR culture is "Mystery Train".



A good Japanese film (comedy) that shows a lot of Japan is "Adrenaline Drive".
