Why are American movies getting worse?

American movies are getting worse and worse. Its either a rip off of other international movies, or a remake of the old movies. It may also be a combination of old movies. American movies are too lazy to be creative and just want our money. Theres no more good movies out there. If you know any good recent movies, please recommend it.Why are American movies getting worse?I don't believe that movies are getting worse, I just think that the good ones are harder to find. With the amount of money invested in films these days, big studios can't take artistic chances like they used to, meaning that most great movies these days are the small ones. Just look at No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood, arguably two of the best films of last year, both of them were independent films.



There are plenty of GREAT movies out there. You just need to know where to look!Why are American movies getting worse?
Because we're reaching a point in society where everything has already been done. People are running out of ideasWhy are American movies getting worse?Movies cost too much to make and market because everyone gets a piece of the profits (producers, distributors, theaters, writers, actors, directors, etc.). So they have to make what appeals to the broadest base of moviegoers, or else they won't be in business.



However, people aren't lazy. If the American public stops going to see remakes and sequels, then the studios will go where the money is. Don't ever forget that movies are a business -- it's nice to flaunt your lofty ideals, I hope you continue to do it so maybe we get better films -- but if you want a successful business, then you do what you must to stay alive. Don't blame Hollywood. Just close your wallet.

Um. The Orphanage was really amazing. But, then again, it's not english. It's spanish with english subtitles.
