Is it me or is like the majority of american movies made in the 80s in California?

I've just noticed that every 80s movie, I've seen took place in CaliforniaIs it me or is like the majority of american movies made in the 80s in California? Most all of the American 80's films post productions were filmed in Canada.

Yes your right most 80's films used California as a setting for the plot and location for global tourism purposes. To get us foreign tourist to visit California and spend our tourist dollars.

So you could imagine the total disappointment, when all us foreign tourist come to California. Finding their are no clean little American towns filled with trees and clean streets. Beach towns with non commercialised amusement parks on the beach like in The Lost Boy's.

With communities of very nice friendly and social non discriminating people and diners with local people who'd be happy to show you around their town,or anything like in the films set there. Is it me or is like the majority of american movies made in the 80s in California? You must not watch a lot of movies then. Here is a list of 80's movies made in the 80's that are located in places other than California.
