Why are all movies American or British?

You never see like south african, australian, french, russian, movies. Even though most of their movies are from UK or USA, i just wondered whyWhy are all movies American or British?If it wasn't anglophone, British cinema would be insignificant.



Also, the countries that produce the most movies are India (Bollywood), the USA and France.



If you rarely see foreign movies in the US, it's just because the US aren't really opened to foreign movies, except anglophone ones (that are often actually produced by Hollywood), that's why you think only the US and Britain make movies.Why are all movies American or British?
Most of the large cinema chains are either American studio owned or affiliated, therefore they have a vested interest in favouring American or British/American movies. Most large cities have independent cinema's that show international movies. In Perth there are a number of independent cinema's that show great International movies. Check your local papers, most independent cinema's are usually right at the bottom of movie pages, in very small print, but if you look closely you will see that they are usually the ones showing the latest French or other international movie.



These days, Hollywood tends to make really bad copies of excellent foreign films, such as;
