Why are American ratings for movies so harse?

I feel bad for 13 year olds that can't go to scream 4 because it's rated r where I live it's rated 14a I'm 13 and they let me in but in America it's rated r why and why is there beer like goblin pisss and there drinking age 21??Why are American ratings for movies so harse?It's not because of the American public in general...although a fair majority believe sexual content of any kind should be rater harsher than violence...anyway, it's mostly because the MPAA is a very iffy organization. It's made up of anonymous members who tally the of number swears and boobs and arbitrarily pick ratings. There's a very large number of people (including most respected directors) who dislike the MPAA. but there is little anyone can do because it's the only rating system in the nation.

Also...wtf are you bringing beer into this for? Not that I'm correcting you, but you're 13 years old, and I have to wonder how often you're drinking, and how often you're coming to America to sample the beer. At the rate you're going, you're going to be connoisseur in the global beer bracket before you get your license.Why are American ratings for movies so harse?'Cause Americans are babies, that's why. As a people, we're quite immature about sex and language compared to most other civilized countries.
