What are some movies/shows in which American cultural values are displayed?

Preferably modern movies/TV shows, etc. I need to do a report on one, but I'm not sure what subject to use.

It's based on the true story of Michael Oher, a young man who wound up homeless and was taken in by a white family when he was found on the streets. He played high school football, entered the University of Mississippi and was eventually drafted by the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL.



The story has aspects of courage, kindness, hard work, determination, and rising above the stereotypes we often have about one another. The movie is terrific, the story is true, which makes it all the more compelling:
